Mark’s Place is a catering company (Contemporary Flavors Catering), and restaurant in Lihue, Kauai. Every time I go to Kauai, I make sure I stop by this spot to pick up a plate lunch, or two. I was actually considering to have them cater my wedding, if I got married on the island, but I got married on the Big Island instead.
Back to the food…
Every day, they have a different special dish, as if the dishes on their regular menu wasn’t special enough. All dishes are priced under $10, and they’re all excellent. There is no indoor seating, but you can have a seat outside on one of their picnic tables.
My favorites – almost everything, but we usually get the Korean Fried Chicken, or one of their fish specials. You can’t go wrong with any of their menu items. Oh, before you leave, grab a slice of butter mochi!
