It is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated by China and many East and Southeast Asian people under the influence of China. Mooncakes are Chinese pastries with varied fillings that are generally eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The roundness “yuan“ of the full moon symbolizes a complete gathering of a loving family. It is a time of joy to reunite with loved ones and to appreciate the significance of family and friends. Mooncakes are often gifted from family and loved ones.
