Recipe: Manuka Honey Butter

Three Peaks Manuka Honey with Tea

Honey is liquid gold. It’s used in the culinary world, and also to treat ailments. There are many kinds of honey – clover, orange blossom, and wildflower, just to name a few. I just recently tried Manuka honey, which is produced in Australia and New Zealand by bees that pollinate the native manuka bush. Manuka honey is touted as a superfood because of its wellness and therapeutic use, as well as its use as an artisanal fine-food.

There are a handful of Manuka honey brands distributed in the United States. Recently landing on our shores is Three Peaks Honey, an ultra-premium line of UMF™ certified, authentic Manuka honey. Sourced and packaged in New Zealand, Three Peaks honey is independently certified by stringent NZ UMF Honey Association purity & quality standards ensuring the authenticity of their New Zealand Manuka honey.  When Three Peaks Honey sent me a jar of their multifloral blend, I thought of using it to make honey butter to pair with biscuits I was baking.

Ingredients

Directions

Combine butter and honey in a bowl. Using a mixer, blend together until fluffy. Serve with warm biscuits, rolls, or almost anything that needs a touch of sweetness.
