Macy’s Herald Square’s new food destination – Chef Street

Pork Belly Snack

The grand opening of Macy’s Herald Square’s Chef Street happens tomorrow evening, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6pm. Chef Street brings the popular food truck trend indoors, with four chef-driven, fast-casual dining concepts within Airstream-style trailers: Tabo Noodles, Taquitoria, Crumb on Parchment, and Rollie’s. Each Airstream features a menu by a different chef: Tabo Noodles is Chef Takashi Yagihashi’s ramen concept, Taquitoria features San Diego-style rolled taco taquitos by Marc Forgione, Crumb on Parchment offers market-fresh salads and grain bowls by Michelle Bernstein, and Rollie’s (R.H. Macy’s nickname) offers burgers, breakfast sandwiches, and brats, all “on a roll.”

We’re looking forward to trying Tabo Noodles. We loved Chef Takashi’s food at Slurping Turtle in Chicago and we’re hoping the ramen and bao will be just as good.
