The Fourth Annual Greenwich Wine + Food Festival presented by Serendipity Magazine was a three-day event that took place September 25 – 27th at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich, Connecticut. At the event, people had the opportunity to attend culinary demonstrations and sample food, wine and beer from over 100 restaurants and vendors from Connecticut and Westchester, NY.
Learning from the previous year’s event, we knew we had to pace ourselves. Instead of trying everything I laid my eyes on, I was selective with what to sample.

After exploring the Culinary Village, we stopped by the center stage to watch a mixology competition between the bartenders of Walrus + Carpenter, Match, Napa & Co., Valencia Luncheria, Mama’s Boy, and Paloma. Adam Patrick of Match won the competition with his creation called “Farewell, My Lovely.”
We also watched the BBQ and Burger Battle, where Plan B Burger Bar walked away with a win for the second year in a row.

After grabbing a few burgers from the BBQ Pit Masters’ Tasting Tent and a beer at the beer garden, we stumbled upon a stage for a demonstration by Saugatuck Craft Butchery. Turning around, I saw Butcher Ryan Fibiger carrying a half pig. We’ll share a separate post on what we learned.

This year’s festival was great – perfect weather, great food, great drinks, and great company. We look forward to next year’s event.
