Recipe: Gambas al Ajillo (Shrimp with garlic)

Gambas al ajillo, or “Shrimp with Garlic,” is one of the most popular Spanish tapas. Shrimp and garlic are a wonderful combination, and with this recipe each bite will have you wanting more. We serve ours with fresh bread, which is great to soak up the sauce.

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high flame
  2. Add the garlic and sautee for about 2 minutes. If you overcook it, it will taste bitter
  3. Pour sherry into the pan and simmer for 2 minutes
  4. Add shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through
  5. Garnish with parsley. Serve immediately
