Game of Thrones Fans, today starts the battle for Ice Cream supremacy in NYC and San Francisco, in what Foursquare and HBO have named “The Game of Cones.” Starting Friday, June 7th until the first day of summer on 6/21, the most popular ice cream spots — er, “Houses” — in NYC and SF will be pitted against one another for ice cream supremacy over the realm. To join the battle, check in on Foursquare at your favorite local NYC or SF ice cream House to boost their rankings and access Foursquare only specials and ice cream flavors.
Ice Cream shops will be tracked on a leaderboard, and the winning establishment in both cities will win the ultimate prize – an iron cone and of course MASSIVE bragging rights.
Which NYC house are we favoring? Tough choice. We’re torn between Van Leeuwen, Milk Bar, and Big Gay.
