Get Your Burger Fix at BGR in Mt Kisco, NY

BGR The Burger Joint opened in October 2011, serving specialty burgers that are cooked to order. On the menu are a variety of burgers that all sound delicious. It may take a few minutes to decide what to order, but we’ll recommend The Greek and The Wellington. Other diners recommend getting the sliders.

The Greek is made with fresh ground leg of lamb perfectly seasoned with mint, cumin and garlic sandwiched between slices of cucumber, feta cheese, lettuce and tomato. It takes like a gyro, but served on a bun.

The Wellington is dubbed BGR’s “Grand Champion.” It’s a beef burger with roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, garlic with a touch of mustard seed and blue cheese served on a fresh, buttery-toasted brioche bun with BGR’s mojo sauce. Got you hungry? It’s a pretty good burger which tastes good with any of their sides, but I prefer the Grilled Asparagus, a side you don’t expect at a burger joint.

Aside from filling up your cup with a soft drink from their fancy soda machine, guests can enjoy hand spun shakes, floats, beer, and wine. The Double Chocolate Shake is an excellent choice. On tap are Shock Top, Stella Artois, and Captain Lawrence (a local favorite).

Overall, great, satisfying burgers. The portions are big, so come hungry.

Service is excellent. The owner, Luigi, and his son, also named Luigi, are friendly folks and will make sure you’re enjoying your meal.

Psst…we’ve heard Martha Stewart stops by and savors BGR’s sliders.

Side Tidbit
On weekdays from 11am to 2pm, be sure to take advantage of their Daily Lunch Special aka “The Box Set.” For $8.99 you can 1 regular or veggie burger, regular fries and a fountain drink. The portions are the same, but you save some bucks. Not a bad deal.
