NYC: Puddin’ by Clio

If you’re in the East Village of NYC, be sure to stop by Puddin’ by Clio located on St. Marks Place. Puddin’ opened in January 2012, selling pudding – from the classics to signature creations – and other savory desserts, like homemade cakes and pies, sold whole or by the slice, and freshly baked cookies and brownies.

Michelle of Amuse Bouche and I stopped by recently to get our pudding fix with mini cups of rice and banana pudding.  I’d like to describe Clio’s pudding as how she does, “rich, delicious, creamy pudding goodness.” With flavors like coconut, banana, and good ol’ chocolate, it’s hard to decide what flavor to get. Fortunately, the pudding is sold in three sizes: mini, regular and large.

We tried the rice pudding, sprinkled with Vietnamese cinnamon. It was a refreshing treat to have on a hot afternoon in NYC. The banana pudding was rich and silky. Each taste was packed with intense banana flavor. We highly recommend trying it. If you wanna spice up your pudding, add a topping for a buck. There are many to choose from like salted caramel sauce, hot fudge, chocowich bits, and brownie pieces.
