Liliha Bakery Bakes Delicious Coco Puffs in Hawaii

Liliha Bakery has been in business since 1950, baking fresh pastries, cakes and the popular coco puffs. Stepping foot in the bakery/restaurant, you’ll be greeted with the aroma of freshly baked goods. There are so many great pastries to choose from: turnovers, cookies, jelly rolls, and malasadas. Of the malasadas, I love the lilikoi malasada – a fried donut filled with lilikoi (passion fruit) cream.

And now…the coco puffs. A coco puff is not a gigantic Cocoa Puff cereal puff, but a chocolate-filled puffed pastry with a dollop of chantilly cream on top. Liliha Bakery sells between 4,800 and 7,200 coco puffs every day. Words can’t describe its taste, but it is a fantastic treat to try! In the refrigerators by the entrance, you’ll find the coco puffs sold prepackaged. So grab a pack or two, and enjoy them.
