NYC: Cafe Habana

If you’re in the NoLita area and want some good, inexpensive Cuban food, head to Cafe Habana on Prince and Elizabeth Streets. With the movie “Friends with Benefits” showing in theaters this summer, I’m sure you’ll want to stop by and have the Grilled Corn Mexican Style JT and Mila Kunis eat. If you haven’t had Mexican-style corn – it’s basically grilled corn, served with chili powder, lime and cotija cheese – and it’s awesome. (Tip: bring some floss)

I’m a big fan of the Pechuga de Pollo al Pipian (Chicken breast served in a traditional toasted pumpkin seed and tomatillo mole with rice and beans) and the Enchiladas Suizas. Oh, and wash it down with an ice cold beer.

It’s a popular spot so expect to wait for a table. Don’t worry, it’s worth the wait.
