Austin, TX: Turf N Surf Po’ Boy

In Austin, you can never get enough tacos. My friends and I went on a taco eating spree, in the attempt to get ourselves tired of eating tacos before returning to New York City. Didn’t happen though.

In Downtown Austin, we came across one taco truck that serves up outstanding tacos, and po’ boys: Turf N Surf Po’ Boy (Twitter handle: @turfnsurfpoboy) located in the parking lot on the corner of 2nd and Congress.

My favorite items off the Turf N Surf Po’ Boy menu are the catfish taco and the rib eye po’ boy. The catfish taco is good serving of 2 fried catfish tacos dressed with shredded cabbage an mixed greens.

The rib eye po’ boy is a 6 inch sandwich with a thin, tender piece of rib eye grilled to perfection, also dressed with shredded cabbage and mixed greens.

Not craving beef or catfish? There’s pulled pork, shrimp, and other land and sea creatures.

And to wash it down, get a Mexican Coke or a bottle of Sweet Leaf Iced Tea.
