My favorite Italian restaurant in Stamford is Remo’s Brick Oven Pizza Company. I’ve been eating here for years, and not once have I ever had a bad meal.
My favorites are Pasta ala Vodka (pink cream sauce with prosciutto di parma), the classic Spaghetti with Meatballs, and a Four Seasons pie (you pick 4 of the many delicious pizza toppings on their menu).
Their daily specials are amazing. Unfortunately, they do not repeat the specials on a schedule, so I try my best to remember what I savor. Recently, these have hit the spot:
- Tortelini with sausage
- Seafood Linguine Carbonata
- Pasta a la Romano
The desserts are delicious as well – Cannolis are filled to order – either plain or chocolate. The sfogliatelle (a pastry of many layers shaped like a seashell) is delectable.

I’ve never eaten food at the restaurant, but patrons look like they’re having a great time. The staff is friendly, and the ambiance is perfect whether you’re dining alone, as a couple, or in a group.
I highly recommend this restaurant, and even their pasta sauce, which I order by the quart.
