NYC: Dogmatic

Mac & cheese w/ Truffle Gruyere

Dogmatic is a good burgers and dogs spot in the Union Square area of NYC. They serve meats free from hormones, antibiotics, nitrates, preservatives and artificial flavors.

The dogs are grilled and stuffed in a warm baguette. My colleague frequently dines at this restaurant and recommends the Chicken dog with horseradish mustard. Their dogs remind me of Puka Dog all the way in Kauai, Hawaii.

I, of course, had to try the Mac & Cheese. Served fresh in an individual size foil container – the mac and cheese is topped with breadcrumbs and heated in their little ovens ready for you to devour. You can taste the hint truffle oil and the gruyere is rich and creamy. Not my favorite, probably because of the earthy taste and too much oil, but still good. The bottom of my dish was covered in oil. Eek!
