Jeff’s Cuisine is a BBQ joint in SoNo (South Norwalk, CT). Several years ago, the restaurant was featured on Food Network’s Roker on the Road. You can either dine in the front of the restaurant (order your meal and grab a table) or be served at the restaurant at the rear of the building, where you can watch a live band play.
With so many options on their menu, it was very hard to decide what to order. Po-boys, fried chicken, ribs, pulled pork, and a variety of sides. Decisions decisions.
I finally ordered Chef Jeff’s BBQ Sampler ($14.99, pictured left) – fried chicken, barbecue chicken, ribs, pulled pork. I got a couple sides – corn bread and homemade Macaroni & Cheese, and washed it down with a Tennessee Lemonade.
Everything was delicious. The pulled pork was fantastic and very flavorful. Out of the two types of chicken I ordered, the fried chicken was king (couldn’t resist eating the skin either). The ribs were excellent too – juicy chunks of meat, and on the lean side too.
Probably the best BBQ I’ve had in the northern US. Just be warned the portions are enough for 2.
