Miami: Gia Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar

UPDATE: I believe Gia has been renamed 1500° because I am unable to find a direct link to the site. The last time I dined at Gia was in the month of August.

Gia Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar, in the Eden Roc Renaissance hotel in Miami, is probably the place that serves the best buffet breakfast I ever had in the continental US.

As soon as you are seated, you are given a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, a small smoothie, and a choice of coffee or tea.

There are different food sections/stations in the restaurant. You can choice from a variety of fresh fruit and pair with cheese and salami, prosciutto, or smoked salmon. There’s also a hot bar, where you can grab eggs benedict, frittatas, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and/or rosemary roasted potatoes.

My favorite station was the pastries section. Miniature croissants, danishes, and muffins were available, as well as multi-grain breads with various spreads. Oh, did I mention that there is a station for waffles and pancakes as well.
