Refreshing summer meals on wheels

The food trucks are popping up, or should I say driving up to a neighborhood near you (in NYC). Today, I had a fortunate opportunity to get good eats at both the Bistro Truck and Kelvin Natural Slush Co. You can follow their locations on Twitter – @bistrotruck and @KELVINSLUSH.

The Bistro Truck serves up delicious Middle Eastern-Moroccan meals for $10 and under, with Daily Specials tweeted every morning. Today, I had Poached fillet if Tilapia in Extra Virgin Olive oil. Served over basmati rice & side of salad. Light and delicious, and oh so yummy. The other dishes I’ve tried on previous days were the Mix Grill (lamb, steak, merguez over basmati rice) and the Marrakech lamb. You won’t be disapppointed. You can read more on my previous review.

Kelvin Natural Slush has been driving around selling slush – Pick one of 3 base flavors (Spicy Ginger, Tangy Citrus, or Green & Black Tea) and a Real fruit purée mix-ins (Açaí, Apricot, Blackberry, Blood Orange, Blueberry, Cherry, Cranberry, Lychee, Mango, Papaya, Pink Guava, Pear, Raspberry, Strawberry, or White Peach). I tried the Spicy Ginger w/ Basil and boy, all I can say is “AAAAH! Oh so refreshing!”
