Celebrating Columbus

Well, not really. This past Monday was Columbus Day and here I am at the Bouchon Bakery in the Time Warner Building sipping on my Beaujolais and eating my main course – roast pork tonnato on toasted pain de campagne. The salad was excellent – mesclun with light dressing just the way I like it. Chill and jazz music play in the background…a Japanese couple chit-chatting over a bottle of red. I feel like I’m in another city, but yet, I’m still in NYC. My open faced sandwich is delicious, I’m enjoying my wine. I feel like I can finally sit back and relax to the music and gaze at the city lights out the window.
