I’m a little late on posting my birthday experience… As planned, I went to Salon Vijin and got my haircut and highlights done. I thought it would take 3 hours to get it all done, but I got out in 2 hours and 15 min. So I needed to kill time. I was a bit hungry – Special K for lunch wasn’t very filling. I decided to walk past Morrell again and see if there was a late lunch crowd. Fortunately there were a couple open tables outside. I walked in and asked for a table for one. I had a perfect seat. I ordered a glass of Sparkling water, Petite Syrah and Charcuterie from the Afternoon Tastes menu. After taking a bite of Serrano Ham I felt like I was wisked away to Spain. I was reminiscing my 2004 trip to Palma de Mallorca. So I sat and enjoyed my snack for an hour and a half. I plan to go again.

Later on in the day, I met up with my boyfriend and we had dinner at the Chart House in Dobbs Ferry. A first time and a great time. We had Steamed Mussels for starters. For the main course, I had Snapper Hemingway and my boyfriend had the Poblano Halibut. Excellent! Then for dinner, Raspberry Créme Brulee with a candle on top and espresso.
