Shopping…then Dinner in Little Italy, NYC

Despite the frigid temperatures, after work I met up with my best friend and hit up a couple of shops in SoHo – H&M, the new “beauty” store – Missha, and Old Navy. In summary, H&M and Old Navy didn’t have any worthwhile. Missha – I went there last Thursday (sorry forgot to write about it before) and picked up a basket full of goodies – face cream, mango body cream, nail polish, shampoo and condition (WooHoo – buy 1, get 1 free). So far, I’ve used the face and body cream, and surprisingly, despite its cheap prices, the products were good. Maybe I don’t have to splurge on high priced items anymore. We shall see.

Back to the story, we decided to walk to Little Italy. We went to our favorite spot – Caffe Sorrento. That place will never let you down – that is, unless they do not sell Stuffed Artichokes, but tonight, thank goodness they did. We ordered items that were not on the menu – for starters, Stuffed Artichokes – Delicious! Just the right amount of sauce, breadcrumbs, and artichoke. You won’t be disappointed. For the main course we split a plate of Penne a la Vodka and Chicken Francese. The penne was good – not the greatest tonight. The sauce was just right, but overall, it didn’t hit the spot. The Chicken Francese definitely made up for it. The lemon and wine sauce was excellent – not too buttery, but perfect. It was the first time I ordered it at this restaurant, but I think I found my chicken dish.
