Instead of getting my usual, I decided to try the Shack-cago dog and the Sasco 'Crete. The Shack-cago dog is a Vienna all-beef dog on a potato bun, topped with mustard, Rick's Picks Shake Shack relish, onion, cucumber, pickle, tomato, sport pepper and celery salt. All the flavors in this Chicago-style hot dog made a perfect marriage. I enjoyed every bite - and each bite had quite a kick from the sport peppers.
As much as I love Shack Shack's Black and White Milkshake, I had to try a concrete.
What's a concrete?
A concrete is a type of milkshake that is so thick that if you turn it upside down, the contents won't spill out of the cup.
The Sasco 'Crete is a concrete milkshake sold only at the Wesport location. It is vanilla custard and a slice of seasonal, locally baked pie. Lucky me, it was made with blueberry pie (I just spent my afternoon blueberry picking). No, I didn't do the concrete test, especially since I had huge chunks of blueberry pie crust waiting to be consumed. Delicious, and thick I've found my new addiction. On a side note, a portion of Sasco 'Crete proceeds will be donated to the Westport Arts Center - so dig in!
